Driving App – Privacy Policy

Driving App is a private scheduling and bookkeeping tool built and used by a single independent driving instructor (Ofir Horn) to manage his own driving lessons, students, payments and business expenses. It is not offered to the general public. This policy explains what data the app handles and how Google user data is used.

Data the app handles

• Students and lessons: names, phone numbers, pickup addresses, lesson schedules, payments and notes entered by the instructor.
• Business expenses: invoices and receipts, entered manually or extracted from the instructor's own email.

This data is stored in the instructor's private database (Supabase) and is accessible only to the instructor's authenticated account. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for advertising.

Google user data

The app asks the instructor to connect his own Google account(s) and requests the following access:

• Google Calendar (auth/calendar): to show the instructor's calendar events next to his lessons and to create, update and delete lesson events in a calendar he chooses.
• Gmail (auth/gmail.modify): to find invoices and receipts in the instructor's own mailbox, read their content to record business expenses and VAT, and apply labels (and move a processed message out of the inbox) so that each document is processed once. The app never sends email, never deletes email, and does not read messages unrelated to invoices and receipts beyond the minimum needed to decide that they are not invoices.

Google user data is used only to provide these features to the instructor. It is not transferred to third parties, sold, or used for advertising, and no human reads it except the instructor himself. Authorization tokens are stored securely on the server (Gmail) or on the instructor's own device (Calendar), and can be revoked at any time from the app or from myaccount.google.com/permissions.

To extract the amount, date and vendor from an invoice, the text and attachments of the specific email are sent for automated analysis to Anthropic's Claude API under Anthropic's API terms (API inputs are not used to train its models). Results are stored in the instructor's private database.

The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while the instructor uses the app. Disconnecting a Google account in the app deletes its stored token and stops all access. To request deletion of any data, contact the address below.
